James Can Cook!!

I am watching the AFC and just watched this mini-show of James Can Cook. He made this veggie kinda sheppard's pie. The pie base was from chick peas, then lentils to substitute the minced meat and he also put in some 'kicap manis' !!! Cute though, when he mentioned it. Ha ha ha

So, the mashed potato was definitely made by cauliflower. :)

I ate before deep fried cauliflower cuz I thot it was chicken breast. And yes the taste was not bad at all!

This is one of the best series in AFC. owh Wait, all shows on AFC are the best!!! Haha Yesterday I was watching this Sweet for my Sweet. and There were this Margaret of PCK , I dunno her real name.. with her husband. I think her husband was super cool for a typical chinese male. Definitely HOT! or I know if the coolness was from the chocolate he was recommending? No Idea ha ha .. But he is HOT

And that nite, I had a bite of Godiva's Dark. Owh... talking about a real fancy CHocolate... I am spoiled! But chocolate is Good!! I dunno if the chocolate can be the substitute of sex. I mean.. hmm really??

Job Updates.
I could never think of myself being a boss, a lady boss. :) I had 2 trainees under me and I think they hate me :D hahahha I dunno, Its just that I have a lot of things to do and they're really spoon fed kinda trainees!! Though I usually made the No - Entry face, I think they got scared already. But seeing their scary face, it melted my heart :D So I told him stuff which they can actually google on The Net. urgh..

But I do hope, they learn. One of the trainees was assigned by the Big Boss for some procedure analysis.. I dunno lah... I just hope he's doing fine.

Anyway about mine, my employment is confirmed, makes the notice period of 2 months now :D tihihi But I am not actually looking for a new job. Well maybe, 2 years from now. But 35, I should have a stable job. And will travel a lot.

L<3ve Updates

Do I have a love update. I wonder. He said 3 - 5 words, then he's OFF again. I dunno, maybe this time I have to make it clear. There will never be something between us and I dunno. I dun ever can think of being only friend. What if we got to be friend, and he found some other girl and update me? I would really hate myself. So.. I kinda decided. Enough is enough.

Do you think I need to delete him off my facebook? :(

I need an Adobe Photoshop to do some design on my blog. The blog is really outdated. Im trying to download it somewhere or else, goin to 'buy' it. Well, I am Malaysian. No comment!! he he he

My Mobile Blog needs a gap between the posts. Since last month phone bill stated that data fee was RM50 or something. Gosh... this is BANKRUPTCY!!! Anyway I am so goin to MAxis tomorrow to cease the line. It was my brother's though. I just cant wait to use my old 012.

what else. my update? I still craving for Spaghetti Meatballs. Kinda thinking to lepak over Zai's house next week and cook it for them :D and Moi.. definitely.


Till then.. im craving for Ramly's Burger. Might go down and get some, for sahur. :)

I found the recipe for the pie. Gosh it was aired in UK around 2003??!!! huh

Puy Pie
Ingredients
250g puy lentils
3 bay leaves
2 carrots
2 onions
3-4 sticks celery
2 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons tamarind paste
2 tablespoons kecap manis
2 shakes of worcester sauce
2 shakes of tabasco sauce

Topping
200g lima beans (soak overnight to soften before cooking)
½ cauliflower

Pastry
250g besan (chick pea) flour
250g plain flour
50ml olive oil or any vegetable oil
2 ½ teaspoons freeze dried yeast
2 teaspoons sugar

Method
Put lentils into 4-5 litres of boiling water with two bay leaves and a good pinch of salt and cook for 45 minutes.

Sift the flours into a bowl and add the yeast, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Roughly mix the dry ingredients together. Drizzle the oil over the dry ingredients. Add enough hot water to make a wet mixture. (This will be about 300-400ml, depending on the nature of the flour you are using, so don’t add all the water at once. The water should be quite warm to the touch, but not so hot it burns. Mixing equal parts of boiling water and room temperature gives the desired temperature.) Work the water into the mixture with your hand. This should not take very long. The wet mixture does not require kneading.

Cover the bowl with a tea towel and allow the dough to prove in a warm spot for about 45mins. It has proved sufficiently when it has doubled in size.

Roughly chop the cauliflower.
Put the cauliflower and lima beans into 4-5 litres of boiling water and cook for about 20 minutes.

Finely chop the celery, carrot, onion and garlic and cook in a hot pan containing a little oil. Stir frequently. Add a pinch of salt and a bay leaf. Cook until the vegetables are almost translucent. Add the drained lentils to the vegetables in the pan. Add 2-3 tablespoons of the liquid the lentils have cooked in for extra flavour. Stir the vegetables and the lentils to combine. Add the tamarind pulp and kecap manis. Add a couple of shakes of worcester and a couple of shakes of tabasco to your own taste.

Drain the cauliflower and lima beans and mash.
Press the proved dough into a large pie dish to make the piecrust. The crust should be 1- 2 cm thick. (There is no need to blind bake this crust.)

Put the vegetable and lentil filling into the piecrust. Put the mash on top and smooth it out.

Bake in a 220-degree oven for about 50 minutes

Cut into pie wedges and serve hot or cold. A crisp green salad is a good accompaniment.

The Art of Henry Binns

( this one inspired by Carrie Bradshaw ) I have a little bad habit. I tend to get away from routine whenever I failed in a relationship. And when I say the routine, it was my job. My first job took place in PJ and after 3 years of servicing, I got to bump into my ex-soulmate everyday on the way to the office. I was waiting for my feeder bus and he was waiting for his shuttle bus. It was okay at first, I began to change my arrival schedule. But there was one evening, I was out of the office and there I saw him, was getting out of his shuttle in front of my office building.. looking and smiling at me, I knew I should get a new job. And I got one. It was in KL. Far away from him and his shuttle bus. And when I was in KL, I had my Nabil to accompany me everytime I had to stay back and sometimes on to work on weekend.
