My Java Trip 2014 Part 3

Arrived in Surabaya we were greeted by our tour guide and the driver. The tour guide, Pak Yono looked younger than Pak Daniel in Jogja. Dad automatically clicked with Pak Yono. He loves talking about they city, the administration and the current political scene. I found him very polite and quite balance. He didnt give his opinion extremely. There were humble.  So from the train station, around 15 mins driving, we had our lunch at local restaurant. Restoran Ria Galleria. Had Java style rice again... Rice everyday! But I limit my rice intake for like 1 - 2 scoops per time. Lol. Still fat :p Me and the best kopi es I had during the trip. Owh, the satay was so niceeeee! So from Surabaya, we headed to Bromo. Around 3 - 5 hours journey. Luckily this trip, the traffic was smooth. Didn't see much macet like last time in West Java.  The tour guide suggested us to stop by Tanggulanggin for a little shopping. We went to leather shop and local tailor cuz mom wanted to get some Jubah. Didn'

My Java Trip 2014 Part 2

From Jogja, we headed to the East Java. The 2nd big city in the island of Java, Surabaya or Soerabaia. The classic spelling. I planned for both Mid Java and East Java thinking that would be awesome to have conquered all major parts of Java.. Well yeah, from someone who never visited Jakarta and never will. Lol. But who knows..  My Arjuna is in Bandung. I'll be there again for sure.  So from the tourist village Lorong or lane, yes the small street is lane. Haha I'm so dumb. We walked to Tugu train station. Which is just 5 - 10 minutes on foot. That was the time I regret for not buying the backpack that I want so much. Damn damn damn. I hate trolley bag cuz I'm an adventurous kinda travel. Not those classy girl with LV luggages who never walk carrying her bag.  Sort of.  So I was with my Roxy duffel bag I got from Bali. Feeling sorry for myself. Then we got into the station and oh yeah.. A subway awaits! That time I felt very sorry for my sister with her trolley bag.. Which w

My Java Trip 2014 Part 1

Last January I had the opportunity to visit Yogyakarta and Surabaya. Which means I had complete my Java conquest made simple by visited West Java, Middle Java and East Java.  Since this is a family trip and it is not easy to gather all the members together, so I decided to visit 2 places at one go. After a few days researching, I made a call to fly to Yogyakarta from KL and travel from there to Surabaya and came to my knowledge that train is one of the modes. And I was like - why not? This is the reason why I wanted to come to Jogja in the 1st place.. The Borobudur Candi No rezeki to get a nice shot of sunrise. It was really cloudy and few minutes later.. Rain poured. I was sad... Maybe I was not supposed too excited to be at the temple..  But we had a nice sunset view at Pantai Parangtritis the day earlier. The beach is so beautiful and the locals belief don't wear green when swimming. It distracts the sea guardian - Ratu Kidul Paragliding from the mountain at the back. Seriously
